About Mekhael Srour
A passionate dance educator and Mystic, CT resident since 2010, Mekhael Srour brings decades of international experience, competitive success, and teaching excellence to Allure Dance Studios.
Background
Originally from Lebanon, Mekhael began his dance journey at a young age, quickly rising to prominence on the national stage. He is a two-time winner of the Lebanese Ballroom Cup (2006 and 2007), and has served as both a national-level judge and trainer since 2009. His formal training includes certification through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and the National Dance Council of America (NDCA) syllabi, having studied under world-class dancers and adjudicators. He was also a finalist at the USA National Championships in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
In 2010, Mekhael joined the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Mystic, where his exceptional teaching earned him national recognition, including the Top Teacher Awards in 2011 and 2012, along with over 40 regional awards for outstanding performance throughout New England.
Since co-founding Allure Dance Studios in 2013, Mekhael has become a cornerstone of the studio’s success, bringing not only technical excellence but also a deep commitment to community. His goal is to give back through the transformative power of dance—helping students of all ages and backgrounds build confidence, find joy, and express themselves fully.
Mekhael specializes in teaching beginners, social dancers, wedding couples and competitive performers, and is known for helping students unlock their natural rhythm and passion for movement in a warm and encouraging environment.
Mekhael’s approach blends discipline with creativity, structure with spontaneity, and skill with heart—making every lesson a truly Allure-ing experience.
