Martha Slater, Born in Stonington CT, Dance Director,  began ballet at age three. Her early dance background includes jazz, tap and modern dance. Marta also enjoyed and participated in multiple dance musicals. Competitive gymnastics and synchronized swimming " her team won the first Gold Medal at the Olympics"  also contributed to her unique dance development.

She has organized and choreographed children’s talent shows and productions and continues to do so in CT. Marta enjoys Competitive Ballroom dance ,  participating in smooth, rhythm and showcase events. Marta and her partner Mekhael recently advanced to the Finals in the United States Stage tango championship 2014, 2015 & 2016, in San Francisco California.

From there they continued on to Buenos Aires Argentina and competed in the 2014 World Tango Championship. Marta is inspired by mentors Omar and Monica Ocampos and Maximiliano Cristiani, whom continue to enhance and develop her dance. She uses a gentle and clear method of teaching that allows her students to find their own natural abilities and passion for dance.

When she is not dancing she enjoys her profession as a registered nurse.

Marta love and enjoy working with beginners just starting out in Social and Competitive dancing.
